The performer's enthusiasm for the subject matter and the way they totally threw themselves into the performance meant it was hard not to like what they were doing. I'm something of a space enthusiast myself so I was bound to enjoy those references but I also liked the way it was aligned with the theme of life as a journey and the hope we have when we're young and what happens to it. There were some really delightful images too, although I was at times frustrated by a sense that the piece was just a series of ideas and images lumped together and some of the links were clunky. Still, there was a very young chap behind me who spent the whole piece on the edge of his seat completely and utterly enraptured by the whole thing. He was giggling and gasping all the way through which was nice to see.

RE: Mayfest 2008... some bits and pieces...

Oh dear.
