We’re offering you the chance to see both of Rotozaza’s shows at the Tobacco Factory as part of Mayfest – Five in the Morning and Etiquette – for only £10!

Anyone who has experienced Etiquette will tell you what a remarkable experience it is. A half-hour event for two people, you and your partner are sat at a table and wear headphones which tell you what to say to each other, you just need to listen and respond accordingly. Etiquette explores the difficulty of turning our thoughts into words we can trust and exposes human communication at its most delicate.

Five in the Morning (Saturday 24 May, 8pm) meanwhile sees the Tobacco Factory transformed into an enormous indoor leisure-pool complex. With a completely white set, Rotozaza’s latest work considers “how we consider our own personas, piecing together a narrative that we play in our minds. Explaining more would give away some of the surprises, which are essential to the delight of the show. As with a great suspense film, watching this unusually daring show provides the gradual recognition of being manipulated – and enjoying every second of it” New York Times.

Matthew here from Mayfest...

We're racing to the finishing line in preparation for this year's festival. And there's stuff happening all over Facebook at the moment, and I didn't want Theatre Bristol to miss out!

I saw The Team last night and left exhilarated, tearful, joyful and invigorated. I would very much urge you to cancel your plans for tonight and get down to Bristol Old Vic to see Particularly in the Heartland before this vibrant New York company leave us.Heaven knows, with Bristol Old Vic closing in a couple months this is one of the last times you can see life affirming theatre like this in Bristol.
